Half marathon for charity and some craftiness!

Hello everyone! Long time no post, I've been very busy lately! I'm training to do a half marathon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program! I'll be participating in the 2010 Ogden Marathon on May 15th. I'm super excited! I'm doing it in memory of my mother and in honor of an amazing little boy named Austin. What's this got to do with crafting? Well I'm going to be using my crafty skills to promote the fundraiser and hopefully reach my goal.  From now until the end of November anyone who makes a $10 donation will recieve a free 2 1/4" custom button and anyone who makes a donation of $25 will recieve 2 custom buttons and be entered to win a free custom jewelry piece hand made by me! If you make a larger donation you will recieve more chances to win based on mulitples of $25 (For example- $50 would be 2 chances to win, $75 would be 3 chances to win etc).

Light the Night Contest

Finally finished the necklace for [personal profile] singswithmicoff 's Light the Night Walk



You can go here for details on how to win this necklace and help a great cause!
The cassette tape is approx 2 1/8 inches wide, and 1 1/4 inches tall. The asterisk is approx 3/4 of an inch across and tall. The whole length of the necklace is approx 18 1/2 inches.

Busy Busy Day So Far!

Well I've gotten quite a bit done today and it's only 2:45. So far I've-

Done some more networking via Etsy and Facebook (www.tamisha.etsy.com and www.facebook.com/TamishaDesign)

Finished my quiz for my online class

Re-cut, baked, and sealed the parts for a piece I'm working on for my friend Aime's charity walk I'm waiting on the sealant to dry so I can assemble it.

Finally removed the mold I made from the original (and surprisingly didn't mess up the original) and sprayed it with the first layer of mold conditioner all while getting footage for my how to video.`

I also came up with an adorable Halloween themed necklace design which I'll post soon. Now I'm in the process of downloading a trial of Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my video with, we'll see how much I remember from my audio/video class lol.

Well the first layer of mold conditioner is about dry so I'm going to go add another layer to that, work on my Halloween design, finish some Alice in Wonderland stuff, and of course finish the piece I'm working on for my friends charity walk.

Hi everyone! I really look forward to using Dreamwidth for all my art/crafts related stuff. I think I'll be posting a how to video or at least pics this weekend.
